Re: The Match Case search option is always enabled!
However, after I exit V and then restart it, the "Match Case" option has gone back to being checked. I am guessing that you are using the \ key to initiate the search. This was added in V8 to easily allow you to toggle the case on a search. That is, using the / key would do a caseless sea...

Re: Dragging Outlook attachments to V
This will not work if you press the left mouse button while dragging. However, it should work if you press the right mouse button.
That is, drag the attachment with the right button pressed , drop it onto V and then select Copy Here.
Let me know if it doesn't work.

Charles.

Is there a way of using a single .vgrid file for each of these data files or does each data file need a corresponding .vgrid file? Yes. You need to do the following: Firstly, you need to enable Grid Rules - on the Options submenu of the main GridLines menu. You then create a .rules file in the &quo...

Re: Can I sum a column in a file with chunks?
Unfortunately, you cannot extend the highlight over several chunks. Is there any way to sum a column that spans multiple chunks?
The only way to do what you want is to load the entire file and then select the column and do the auto sum.

Charles.

Re: How to copy search results to the clipboard?
Is there a way of copying just these 600 lines to the clipboard for later analysis? You will need to use Find Files/GREP to do this: 1. While viewing the file, press the "Find Files/GREP" button on the toolbar (or press Ctrl+Shift+F) 2. Select the "Text Search" tab 3. Enable &qu...
