V The File Viewer Silent Switch

Postby krnj34 » Thu Apr 28, 2011 7:23 am

Hi,

I need to package the software in SCCM for deployment. Is there a switch for silencing the executable?

Is there a switch for silencing the executable?

There is no switch to silence the default executable that is downloaded (eg, v12.exe).

However, v12.exe is a self-extracting ZIP file which extracts all files to a temporary folder and then runs setup.exe (which does have a silent switch).

To do a silent install, you will need to manually extract all the files in v12.exe (you can do this in V by selecting v12.exe and then pressing Ctrl+Z).

You can then use the /auto switch on setup.exe to silently install V. You can list all the valid switches by running setup /?

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Charles.
