Re: Should ES option disable V Directory options?
To be clear, I'm not saying V does gray-out the directory boxes, I was suggesting that it might want to do that when the ES option is selected No - it still needs those fields. Enabling the ES option does not automatically mean that you are searching everything . The search is still limited to the ...

Re: Should ES option disable V Directory options?
I'm wondering if it makes sense for V to disable and gray-out these directory entries when ES is checked Can you give me an example of exactly what you are doing? Enabling the ES option should not gray out any of the other options. Note that enabling "Limit To Current Directory" will disa...

Re: View 2 files side by side with synchronized scrolling
There are times when it would be very handy to view two files side by side with the scrolling synchronized between the two
I'll see what I can do in the next release (V12) - although that won't be available until the end of the year.
Thanks for the feedback.

Re: dual filearg user cmds using finder result
There doesn't seem to be a way (e.g., user arg '%3F') to reference a file arg in the find result window.
Unfortunately, this is not possible with the current version.
I will look at doing this for V12 - but that won't be available until the end of the year.

VBackup - Command Line Backup with File Versioning
The latest version of VBackup can be downloaded from http://www.fileviewer.com/vbackup/ VBackup is a command line program for Windows that is used to make backup copies of directories. VBackup Limitations
As mentioned in a previous post, I wrote VBackup for my personal use, not as a general purpose backup program. Although it has several limitations, it provides me with all the functionality I need. If others find VBackup useful, I will look at expanding its functionality. Some of the limitations of ...

Re: Deleting file which V has open
What's up with turning "tail" on/off? That seems to get rid of the monitoring (a bug?). Apparently the ability to turn it off is already there. No. This is a bug. Although tailing has been turned off, V still thinks that it is turned on and so does not reload the file (as it thinks that t...

Re: Deleting file which V has open
Apparently not so. If I "ECHO foo > foo.txt", then "v foo.txt", then go back to the command prompt and "ECHO foo >> foo.txt" (appending to it) then as soon as V gets the foreground, it either updates automatically of after the announcement (depending to my preferences)...
