Re: Command Line option for tail mode?

Is there a command-line option for 'tail' mode?

Yes there is. Unfortunately, I have forgotten to document it!

You should be able to use /t for tailing (ie, V /t FileName).

Charles.

Re: Problem with Word Count

When I found Tools Word/Line Count (Selection), I thought I had found the answer. But it doesn't work. No. This counts the *total* number of words and lines in a file - it does not count a *particular* word. However, you can do this from the search dialog. When you go to *search* for a string, you ...

Re: Arranging or sorting Folder Tabs?

Any chance of being able to either sort tags automatically or by arranging them using drag & drop?

No - I wasn't planning on doing this.

Note that you can move a tab by right-clicking on it and selecting Move Left/Right. This should be all you need to re-organize your tabs.

Charles.

Re: Why is my V window always on top?

Did you make a change to the new version that leaves V on top of all other windows?

No - you must have accidentally enabled Always On Top (Ctrl+Shift+T).

Have a look at the View menu to see if it is enabled.

Charles.

Re: Can I compare 2 files?

Can I compare 2 files? You can use the MD5/CRC32 option on the Tools menu to display the MD5 of the 2 files. If the 2 MD5 are different, then so are the 2 files. This is a very quick way of seeing if the 2 files are different. However, this probably isn't what you want. I use the Open Source WinMer...

Re: Installing V on a Terminal Server

Is there a licensing issue in installing it on a Terminal Server

As long as the total number of users does not exceed 40, there is no problem.

Charles.

Do you have any plans on adding FTP support to V?
