Lost Zip Viewing capability

Recently when I click on a zip file, V tells me the zip feature is not registered. It tells me to download the latest version, which I do, and I select okay. After that it brings up the text image of the zip file but does not open the zip file
Any suggestions on what happened?

Directory Structure

Is there a way to use V to create entire directory structure? I have a directory structure of about 20 sub-dirs that I would like to duplicate. I don't want to copy the files contained within the from directories but the directory organization. To help clarify, I have a September directory and now I...

Thank you. This will work. I guess I didn't see that command.

Using REGEX expression in bulk file rename

I am having to rename about 10,000 files changing dashes to underscores. I'm selecting all the files to be renamed then right clicking and selecting the filename option modify options (regex) to do this rename. The issue I'm having is that it only does a single pass rename. Meaning if there are mult...

V Not Responding and cannot be restarted

Have a situation where V tries to display a large directory (15,000 files+). V hangs with a not responding message on the task manager. I try to end V by using the 'cancel (x)' and it does not work. I go to task manager and cancel the task in the running applications tasks. That seems to work but wh...

Folder Overwrite Question

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and I downloaded and installed the 64bit version of V. My question is this: when I'm moving folders, I get the message that the folder exists in the target directory. Sometimes I have a lot of directories I'm consolidating and I have to confirm each move. Is there an opt...

Re: Folder Expansion

I think an option would be great to offer single level or multi-level expansions. So if I right clicked a directory, I might have an option to do a single level or multi-level expansion. I think this would be a great feature to offer.
thanks.

Folder Expansion

There is a way to collapse open folders but is there a way to expand the folders automatically or by selecting an option? I have some directories that have many files within many subfolders. I'd like to open the main directory and have all the sub-directories expanded. Is this possible? thx

Re: Deleting Files Causes Not Responding

Sorry for not being specific: 1. I'm deleting both ways. Groups (lots of files >1000) or single. 2. Yes the delete to recycle bin was on. However, I do not need this option for what I'm doing as the files are easily recreated. 3. When it hangs and I restart V the files are deleted. 4. I'm using the ...
