Service Release 1 (SR1) of Version 9 can now be downloaded from:

http://www.fileviewer.com/Download.html

This fixes several bugs in the V9 release, including:

• problems when searching for hex (binary) data
• problems when using "." for the search directory in GREP
• V9 would sometimes crash if GridLines were being used

Several users have reported that V would sometimes "hang" when trying to access a network drive. The timeout seems to have fixed this, but if users experience any new network problems, they should either increase the timeout or set it to zero.

A new "Insert Date into Name" option has also been added to File Name Modify which lets you insert the date/time into the file name.

To install the service release, you can either download and run v9.exe, or you can download v.zip and extract the files to your V directory.
